Q: What criteria are required for Medicare to approve services?
A: Meeting Medicare eligibility means the home health patient
- must be a current Medicare recipient.
- must be homebound.
- A skilled care such as nursing or therapy must be medically necessary as determined by your physician.
- Shortness of breath with exertion
- Ability to drive a car
- Confused and/or disoriented easily
- Inability to focus and/or memory lapses
- Walk with assistance from device or another person
